Anonymous Bookaholic Tag

One of my favorite bloggers, Diana at A Haven for Book Lovers, nominated me for this tag. You should check out her blog, she’s like a superhero reader, she reads ten books a day or something ;)

What do you like about buying new books?

Whenever I buy a new book I picture the feeling of having just read it and I just can’t wait to get started. With that said, I have to admit I sometimes buy books that I plan to read right away, but they end up being stored in my book shelf.

How often do you buy new books?

I try to catch some flee markets once in a while and I always find a bunch of great books there. In Norway flee markets are most common in spring and in autumn, so the rest of the year I go to book stores. It’s not very often I buy new books, but when I see a book I want I just have to buy it right away, I just have to own it. I guess this happens every second month or something.

Book store or online book shopping – which do you prefer?

If I know exactly what I want I sometimes buy books online because they’re cheaper and also because in Norway not all books are available in stores. But I do prefer buying books in a bookstore. I feel it’s more personal, AND I get the book right away.

Do you have a favorite bookshop?

I do! I love the bookshop Ark at Egertorget in Oslo. It’s quite big, they have good prices and the costumer service is excellent.

Do you pre-order books?

No, never.

Do you have a monthly book buying limit?

No, but sometimes I feel that I should. I can go a couple of months without buying any books and then I can go crazy banana and buy 15 books in a month.

Book buying bans – are they something for you?

What on earth is this? Banning myself from buying books? No, that could never happen. If I want a book I will buy it.

How big is your wish list?

It’s huge and it just keeps getting bigger.

Which three books from your wish list do you wish to own NOW?

Walk on Earth a Stranger by Rae Carson – because I just read a review about the sequel and I really would like to read these books.

The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe – this has been on my TBR forever. I’ve read parts of it on iBooks and it is just amazing, so I really wish I had a beautiful version of this book in my book shelf.

Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff – it just appeals to me and I don’t believe it is available in Norway yet.

Tusen takk for taggen! Skal gjøre den så fort jeg får tid, som vil si rett etter at jeg har skrevet ferdig en anmeldelse av We Were Liars av E. Lockhart. Kjempegøy å lese svarene dine! Gleder meg allerede til å svare på dem selv :)
